Ashley has loved horses her whole life. If no one could find her, the chances were high that she was outside with her horses. She was the definition of that ”crazy horse girl” that people would talk about at school. While growing up Ashley wasn’t quite sure what she wanted to do with her life, except she knew it would involve horses. In college she studied Equine Science and worked with trainers and ranches to help expand her equine knowledge. She has traveled and studied under clinicians, as well as cutting and reining trainers. She took those skills and applied it to barrel racing. With the help of several barrel racing trainers, she was able to figure out a program that worked for her. That combination has allowed her to train a well-balanced, responsive horse that could go on to many different disciplines. She not only focuses on the riding, but believes that a horse must have an understanding from us on the ground as well fundamentals before continuing on.
She has competed in barrel racing and team roping, as well as reining and western pleasure. She has taught kids and adults at various stages, and truly enjoys watching others learn horsemanship skills. Arrow H Performance Horses is a lifelong dream of hers, and she is excited to watch it grow.
